LO: to understand the narrative and characters in the lego movie
The storyline was about a boy called emmet, he thought he wasn't special until somethings happens. he had to save the unnerves by being creative.
The main themes/message was that you are special and that you can be creative even if its weird, that you can do anything if you just believe in yourself.

postmodernism
postmodern films often contain the following characteristics:
challenge genre convention: might be a mixture of many genres challenge typical character roles etc.
pastiche: imitates other texts, humerus take on society/culture.
hyper-reality: makes the audience aware that they are watching a movie.
the lego movie is a postmodernism film because its had mixture of genres and humerus. its also the audience aware that they're watching a movie because when your watching film you tended to be so interessing in it that you forget that your in the real world and in the lego movie they show the real making you realised that its just a movie.

Its target at young kids because its lego and kids who play with lego will want to see it and something simp like emmet falling over will make them laugh. Its also target at parents because when they were younger they might have play with lego, they might also play with their kid and might like some of the voice actors, also the comedy. teens can be the target audience because of the comedy and they also might like the voice actors.

the lego movie campaign broke boundaries and link the social media campaign by doing a ad break that was made entirely out of lego. the ads was the british heart foundation, confused.com and BT. these ads would have been show many times before so the audience would know what they are. they put the ad onto youtube and its gotten over 1 million views for a ad.

there are several uses and gratification that the audience might get from the video game firstly is social interaction, at the bringing of the trailer its show kids playing the game and it also show them talking about it. secondly there is entertainment the game shows humour.
i think what appeal to the target audience is some of the characters such as batman or maybe emmet. also i think the colours might appeal to them because its has bight colour but also some dark colours. the image would make the audience interested.

the stereotyp in the lego movie poster campaign gender is represented by wyldstyle because in the poster most of the characters are boys and wyldstyle is the only girl character in the poster. usually girls is represent who care about there beauty and style where as boys are resented as strong and tough but in this poster wyldstyle looks tough and brave where as emmet look like the one who is scared. the events in the poster to show this is the face expression. wyldstyle is smiling and looks ready to fight. Emmet face shows that he scared and is not prepare to fight. In the poster wyldstyle is wearing makeup and this shows that girls can care about their beauty but also be ready to fight.

LO: to analyse the representations throughout the lego movie promotional campaign
emmet protagonist males as not that smart and act panicky when something bad happens but somehow always ends up being the hero.
in the poster you can see that emmet is running away from the danger this shows that he a crowed. his face expression shows that he is freaking out and scared. in the dologe he scream 'i want to go home' this shows that he a crowed. the video game trailer shows that he isn't a confident person.
in the movie poster wyldstyle is represent as brave, dominate and strong. her face expression shows that she is determent. In the video game poster is showing that she is confident.
name after the ancient rome engineer. wise and noble who teaches emmet the key to building is to listen to himself. vitruvius skin is dark and he is an old man. where as wyldstyle and emmet is appear yellow.
old is represented by vitruvius. he is wise and smart. he is more responsible then emmet who is young. he not smart and acts more like a kid. in the poster its show emmet terrified and vitruvius as not scared and ready to help.

the non-diegetic sound such as background music is used to create atmosphere. when the text showed up it went in time with the intense music
